Aerobic exercise is best for your heart because it is repetitive and rhythmic and also works on the large muscle of the legs, shoulders, and arms. Exercise pulls blood away from your heart towards the active skeletal muscles and thereby reduces the load on your heat.

Adults with hypertension should do about 30 minutes of moderate exercise 5 times per week. 
The main purpose here is to enjoy staying active, not feeling like punishment because you’ll not likely to keep up the routine. Do exercise or activity you like doing, and you’ll soon able to see the benefits.
