There are many ways to find out a person's personality and one of them are by looking at the blood type.

In fact, blood type was created as a tool for companies to assess the potential of prospective employees, although this test has not been scientifically proven to be accurate.

This concept of belief eventually became the qualification for various elements of life in Japan and South Korea, known as Ketsueki-Gata. In both Japan and South Korea, there is a strong belief that groups A, B, O, and AB determine personality and are an indicator of talent (or lack of it ). Among them are in the world of work, the type of diet, romance, and even the selection of clothes based on blood type. If you go to a job interview in Japan, one of the first questions you will have to answer will be what your blood type is. It is not that they are looking for donors. For the Japanese, blood type defines our personality.

The impact is also not trivial, for example in a romantic relationship. Two people who exchange blood types with each other to see the characteristics of their potential life partners are not infrequently canceled because they feel they are not compatible.

During job interviews, several companies in Japan ask the blood type of prospective employees so that they can assign them to the appropriate division.

However, it's still interesting to find out your personality or the people closest to you by looking at the blood type they have.

The Beginning

In 1901, the Austrian scientist Karl Landsteiner discovered the ABO blood type system. His work, for which he earned a Nobel Prize made it possible to identify the different groups and open an important path in the safety of blood transfusions

This phenomenon of blood type defines our personality began in 1916 when a doctor in Japan named Kimata Hara wrote a paper about the relationship between blood type and a person's personality. He stated that blood type is related to a person's temperament.

This is also what causes the Japanese military to make blood type a reflection of their abilities and weaknesses, so that the assignment of tasks is based on blood type.

Furthermore, in 1927 researcher Takeji Furukawa published his research entitled "The Study of Temperament Through Blood Type" about personality that reflects the type of blood type. Even though the data that proves Takeji's evidence doesn't make any scientific sense, the results of this research are well known in Japan.

Ketsueki-Gata became popular in Japan in the 1930s, after Professor Tokeji Furukawa published a paper claiming that each blood type reflects a person's personality. The military government of Japan also adopted it in 1930 for the training of soldiers. In World War II, the Imperial Army formed the battle groups according to blood group, according to different reports.

There are many ways to find out a person's personality and one of them is by looking at the blood type, known as Ketsueki-Gata.

However, then dimmed again, because there is too little evidence to show that these two things are related. Also because it was rejected by some academics who opposed the qualification of students' abilities based on blood type.

Then in 1970, it was popularized again by the journalist Masahiko Nomi and developed until now, and books began to appear that discusses the prediction of a person's character based on blood type.

Science Behind It

A study entitled "ABO Blood Type and Personality Traits in Healthy Japanese Subjects" concluded that the theory about the relationship between blood type and personality is a pseudoscience.

Pseudoscience refers to theories that are not obtained through the scientific method and plausible explanations or tend to be mere dogmas. Even so, the researchers said that further efforts from blood types A, B, AB, O could be used to assess the risk of disease in the future.
